AI Presentation Tools in 2026: Export Fidelity, Billing Terms, and AI Accessibility — Tested
We tested three things across four AI presentation tools — Dekked, Gamma, Beautiful.ai, and MagicSlides: what actually lands in the exported .pptx file, what the billing and refund terms are, and whether AI assistants can read each tool’s website at all. The headline finding: gamma.app answered every direct fetch we made with a non-browser user agent with an empty HTTP 403 — so an AI assistant asked about Gamma cannot read gamma.app itself — while beautiful.ai, magicslides.app, and dekked.app all served readable server-rendered pages. All data was collected in September 2026, each study’s method is stated inline, and the tables are free to cite with a link.

The question this study answers: when the tool hands you a PowerPoint file, are the charts in it real PowerPoint chart objects you can keep editing — or pictures of charts? We could verify this fully only for the tool whose output we control, so the table says exactly which cells are tested and which are not.

The honest reading of this table: it proves one positive (a Dekked chart is a native, editable PowerPoint object, demonstrated on camera) and proves nothing negative about anyone else. If a competitor publishes an equivalent COM-verified capture of an editable exported chart, this table should be updated to say so.

Two terms sit outside billing but belong in any due-diligence read. Gamma’s own FAQ states that content on free and individual plans trains AI by default, with an opt-out in settings (gamma.app FAQ, September 2026). Dekked deletes uploads after processing — source files within about 30 minutes, generated files within about 2 hours. We have not verified Beautiful.ai’s or MagicSlides’ data-handling terms and therefore make no claim about them.
Candor: the subscription model wins at volume. Gamma Plus at $108 per seat per year buys roughly 54 Dekked decks; generate daily and the subscription is the better deal. Pay-per-deck wins for burst use, not for everything.

Study CCan AI assistants read these tools’ sites?
The question this study answers: when someone asks an AI assistant about one of these tools, can the assistant read the vendor’s own website — or is it working from third-party sources only? AI crawlers and assistants do not execute JavaScript and do not present browser user agents, so a site that refuses non-browser agents is invisible to them.

Why this matters: a growing share of buying research happens inside AI assistants, and an assistant can only quote what it can read. Two of the three competitors in this report pass this test cleanly — this is not a table Dekked wins alone.

- All competitor prices, terms, and review figures were collected in September 2026 and describe that moment; vendors change terms, and this page states its dates so a stale citation is detectable.
- Trustpilot scores are quoted only with their review count and date, and only where the review base is meaningful. Review platforms over-represent unhappy customers for every product, ours included when the day comes.
- Export-fidelity claims are limited to what we tested with PowerPoint COM automation on our own output. Competitor export internals are marked “not independently verified” rather than guessed.
